Tasting Days restart in Italy
The new roadshow brings the taste of sustainable rice around the Peninsula
The Sustainable Eu Rice Tasting Days are back! This time the backdrop will be the picture-postcard landscapes of Italy, one of the European homelands of sustainable rice.
The new roadshow starts today in Pescara and, between April and May, will cross the Peninsula from south to north, stopping in the main Italian cities. Many places, one single objective: to publicise the benefits of European rice, its uses in the kitchen and to transmit the values of sustainability and the protection of natural resources.
On board the Sustainable Eu Rice foodtruck, our chef will demonstrate the versatility of European rice by preparing the typical recipes of the three largest rice-producing countries in Europe: Italy, France and Portugal, revisited according to the seasonal products present in each location.
Between one preparation and another, there will be no shortage of opportunities for the chef to explain to consumers how to recognise good, quality and above all sustainable rice. Defined as the “cereal of health”, rice is one of the most widely consumed foods in the world thanks to its high nutritional values and digestibility, and is also indicated in the case of food intolerances, such as gluten, of which it is totally free.
An opportunity for discussion and sharing, the Tasting Days are a unique moment to learn about and support the values of Sustainable Eu Rice, putting the protection of the environment and our planet’s resources first.
